The findings suggest that the use of XCM with melatonin gel may be a suitable substitute for CTG in the treatment of MAGR, as it provided predictable results in CRC concurrent with a significant increase in all clinical parameters, while avoiding the need for a secondary surgical site and thus decreasing patient morbidity.
