Improving the Nutritive Value of Some Feeding Stuffs By Chemical and/Or Physical Treatment

Thus, any trial dealing with improving the quality of these poor quality roughages, would definitly results in icreasing the amount of feeding stuffs available to farm animals and consequently improving animal production which would lead to the welfare of the country. Therefore The present work was designed to investigate the effect of two phsical treatments (chopping and qrinding) and using three alkali sources with different concentrations and their effects on the improvement of feeding value of poor quality roughages. Roughages selected for this work were from the group of roughages which are still used either inefficiently or used in purposes other than feeding ruminants.
