The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of a program based on central coherence theory to develop functional language skills in children with specific learning disorder. The research sample consisted of (10) children with specific learning disorder, aged between (5-6) years. The researcher in the current research uses the following tools: Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale - the fifth picture, Arabized by Safwat Farag (2016), a battery of tests for some pre-academic skills for kindergarten children as indicators of learning difficulty. Prepared by Adel Abdullah (2016), a measure of functional language skills for children with a specific learning disorder. (Prepared by the researcher), a program based on coherence theory Central Center for Developing Functional Language Skills for Children with Specific Learning Disorder in Early Childhood (prepared by the researcher). The results of the research resulted in the following results: There are statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the scores of children with specific learning disorder (the experimental sample) in the two measurements (pre-post). To apply the program to the (functional language skills) scale for children in favor of the post-measurement, there are no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the scores of children with a specific learning disorder (experimental sample) in the two measurements (post - follow-up) on the (functional language skills) scale for children.
