The current research aimed to identify the level of both emotional blackmail and college adjustment, describe and explain the relationship between emotional blackmail and college adjustment and to reveal differences of emotional blackmail among married female students of the educational diploma according to the variables: duration of marriage and number of children. The basic research participants consisted of (573) married female students of the educational diploma at the faculty of Education at Zagazig University. A scale for Emotional blackmail, (prepared by the researcher), and a scale for college adjustment, (prepared by the researcher), were administered. Using descriptive statistics, Spearman's correlation coefficient, Mann-Whitney test using the program JASP 0.18.3. The results showed that the level of emotional blackmail among married female students of the educational diploma was low, level of college adjustment was high. In addition, the results indicated that there was a statistically insignificant inverse correlation between emotional blackmail and college adjustment and its sub-dimensions. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in emotional blackmail due to the duration of marriage (less than 5 years, 5 years and more), while There were statistically significant differences in emotional blackmail due to the number of children (two, less than two, more than two) and the differences were in favor of the number of children more than two. The research results were supported by personal interviews regarding emotional blackmail, and open-ended questions regarding aspects of college adjustment, and how emotional blackmail or not affects the study in the educational diploma.
