Abstract:
the shortage of animal feedstuffs represents a sound problen in Egypt and many other countries in the world.in Egypt, farm animals suffer from inadequate feeding particularly during sulmmer period. This is due to limitedaree assigned for forage production and shortage of supplies of ccncentrates for Iivestock holder. In contrast, thereexists considerable amounts of plant-by-products such as straws corn stalks, corn cobs and beet tops under the prevailing pattern of crop production ln Egyptian farm. this wark was conducted to ensiled the corn stalk as roughage low in protein with different levels of poultry litter as a source of crude of crude protein. the quality and palatability of produced silage, as well as its nutritive value were taken also into consideration.
