Abstract:
In Egypt, intensive efforte are directed towards ’improving anlmal production and feed efficiency to overcome the problem of animal protein dificiency. The sheep which are one of the important sources of animal protein in Eeypt, are fat-tailed. however, the fat-tail may reduce fertility due to infection of the genital tract with parasities. in addition deposition of fat in the tail or in the body requires much higher cost in terms of feed energy than in lean meat. At the same time, the present consumer prefers more lean meat with reletively low quantity of fat. This investigation was conducted to study the effects of docking and shearing on ossimi lombs performance. efficiency blood components. rectal temperature, reepiration rate and pulse rate were also stdied.
