Abstract:
In the present study a number of induced early rice mutants, which proved to be stable over three generations are genetically tested with the aim of exposing their breeding usefulness in improving earliness in rice . The yielding capability and potential of these mutants when combined with the mother variety and with each others are also considered . The importance of such work comes from the fact that raising early maturing rice varieties has become an essential necessity for growing rice in Egypt with minimum requirements of agricultural investment and if possible raising two crops a year, the results are given in this thesis.
