Abstract:
On consulting the related literature, most of the accumulated reports on the effects of the abovementioned regulators on grapevines are dealing with yield components ( number of bunches, bunch and berry weights) as well as the main quality (Tss, acidity and Tss/ acid ratio ). Howerver, little information could be achieved concerning the physiological and structural effects of the three regulators on grapevines. In addition to that results concerning leaf and berry anatomical structure, leaf pigments; respiration rate of leaves and berries, transpiration rate of leaves, sugars and nitrogen content of the leaves and berries are acarce. Such data are important and may furnish clearer basis in improving applications of the tested regulators. Consequently,The aformentioned Physiological and Structural Criteria were the Objective goal Of this investigation. The Study involved three Independent Parts, i.e. Gibberellic acid treatments on Thompson Seedless vines, chlormequat treatments on Roumi Red vines and ethephon treatments on bunches of both cultivars.
