States - represented by governments - have a central role in combating the novel coronavirus through the various information communications they provide to the public, which help raise community awareness about the virus. This has provided individuals with a wide range of sources when searching for health-related topics, and they seek to employ information from these sources to satisfy their needs and achieve their interests in knowing everything related to the coronavirus, and thus support their trends towards prevention methods Especially since the only treatment method - so far - for this virus is health awareness.
This study gains its importance from the current period of exposure of the world's countries in general, and Egypt in particular, to the Corona virus, its rapid spread, and the health and economic impacts it causes, which enhances the importance and value of this study, in terms of identifying the effectiveness of government electronic information communication strategies to raise community awareness to confront the Corona pandemic.
According to what the results of the study revealed about the success of the communication and media practices carried out by the Egyptian government in raising awareness of the Corona virus; The researcher recommends that the government continue these efforts, and not limit themselves to the Corona pandemic, but rather extend to health awareness and education about all diseases; Through it, health knowledge is achieved for members of society, helps them make decisions related to their health condition, and applies them in all crises facing the country. However, in order to provide accurate information that the public trusts and that achieves overwhelming satisfaction among all groups, the researcher recommends implementing an open governance strategy. The researcher also proposes supporting the implementation of open government through strategic regional cooperation, given that the virus crosses borders in terms of spread and repercussions, as well as as a result of the interconnectedness of the global economic system.
