This study aimed to identify the effect of a recovery program supported by beta-alanine supplement on some health indicators and special endurance of judo players.
The researcher used the experimental method for two experimental groups, and the research sample was chosen intentionally from judo players under 20 years old who are registered in the Egyptian Judo Federation for the season (2024/2025 AD) at the Al-Zanklon Youth Center in Sharqia Governorate and registered in the Egyptian Federation. The size of the basic sample was (18) players who were divided into two equal groups, one experimental and the other control, each consisting of (9) players. The researcher also used (6) players as a survey sample
The extracted data were processed using appropriate statistical methods, including (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, skewness coefficient, t-test to calculate the significance of differences, and improvement ratio equation).
One of the most important results was that the proposed recovery program supported by beta-alanine supplement had a positive effect on the health indicators (aerobic capacity, pulse rate, maximum oxygen consumption, vital capacity, blood oxygen saturation, anaerobic capacity (maximum, average, minimum capacity) and fatigue index) and specific endurance of judo players.
The researcher recommended conducting further studies to identify the impact of different recovery methods on health indicators and the level of skill performance of players in various sports, benefiting from taking beta-alanine and including it as an adjuvant factor in training programs to improve the functional, physical and skill capabilities of athletes, and directing the Egyptian Federation for Individual Sports to the importance of using recovery programs and their impact on players’ results
