The research aimed to improve the level of faculty members at the Faculty of Qualitative Education at Zagazig University in developing digital skills and professional motivation through two discussion management styles (participatory - guided) in an electronic training environment, and the descriptive-analytical approach was used, the experimental approach, and the research was conducted on a sample of (50) members of the faculty and the auxiliary staff of the Faculty of Qualitative Education were randomly selected, and the descriptive-analytical approach, the experimental approach, and the research sample was divided into two pilot groups, the first experimental group was trained using the participatory discussion management style: The first experimental group was trained using the participatory discussion management style, and the second experimental group was trained using the guided discussion management style, and the research used three research tools, namely: The cognitive achievement test related to the development of digital skills, the observation card of the performance of those skills, and the professional motivation scale, and after applying the research tools before and after the application of the electronic training environment to the sample members, the results revealed that there is a statistically significant difference at (0.05) level between the average scores of the trainees of the first experimental group and the trainees of the second experimental group in the post application of the achievement test and the practical performance observation card in favor of the first experimental group (which trained using the participatory discussion management pattern) On the other hand, the results indicated that there was no statistically significant difference at the (0.05) level between the average scores of the trainees of the first experimental group and the scores of the trainees of the second experimental group in the post-application of the professional motivation scale, and in light of the research results, the researcher recommends the importance of employing discussion management patterns in electronic training environments in particular and various electronic learning environments in general and employing them for educational purposes at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
