The study highlighted the impact of noise levels within Zagazig on the educational and healthcare services provided by Zagazig University and its hospitals. For this purpose, fifty-three monitoring sites were selected across the city and sixty-three sites within the university and its hospitals. Measurements were monitored and recorded using a sound level meter for thirty days at three different times a day in the city: first at 8:00 a.m., second at 2:00 p.m., and third at 8:00 p.m. Monitoring within the university and its hospitals was conducted at two times per day: one at 9:00 a.m. and the other at 1:00 p.m. The findings were compared to the World Health Organization's (WHO) noise level standards and analyzed using spatial interpolation models for spatial mapping of noise levels in Zagazig, its university and affiliated hospitals. Statistical analysis technique was used to conduct prediction-based spatial interpolation to complement the field-taken spatial data. The comparative analysis of the results showed a noticeable difference in noise measurements between the neighborhoods of Zagazig. Notable disparities were observed between the highest and lowest recorded values both within the city and inside the university: noise levels in the city ranged between 42 and 89 dB, while those within the university ranged between 54.5 and 86.9 dB. The study concluded that high noise levels above the standard limits were recorded at 92.3% of the designated monitoring points. The study recommends the necessity to manage and monitor noise levels at Zagazig University and its hospitals, along with land-use reassignment so as to mitigate and reduce noise pollution. This recommendation is justified by the finding that the university and its hospitals have recorded noise levels higher than those permitted for educational and healthcare services.
