Clinical and Radiological Outcomes of Isolated Subtalar ‎Arthroereisis in Pediatric Flexible Flatfoot: A Prospective ‎Cohort Study.

Abstract:
This study looks at using subtalar arthroereisis screws to treat flexible flatfoot in kids aged 5 to 12 years. It followed 15 patients with 30 affected feet and tracked clinical pain and foot angles before and after surgery. The results showed a big drop in pain and better foot alignment after 18 months. There were minor complications like one case with screw subluxation and one infection, both managed successfully. Overall, the procedure appears effective and minimally invasive for correcting flexible flatfoot.
