Abstract: |
Nature and art are among the great witnesses that surround us. They are so closely intertwined that it is impossible to separate them. Consequently, it is also impossible to combine them into a single formula that represents a single idea, as they are characterized by infinite diversity, such as the forms of plants, animals, and other diverse creatures. We find that the life of creatures found in nature, whether living or nonliving, and the various plant elements, is a sustainable creative reality from which we learn the meaning of continuity, and even integration, growth, and development. This leads the sculptor to reflect and creatively contemplate nature, to explore the nature of its formation and composition, to discover the most minute creative details that contributed to imposing this form and the color and tactile values behind it, and to utilize them in the creation of three-dimensional sculptural works. Nature contains multiple sources of inspiration, the most important of which are plant elements. Nature is considered the primary teacher and inspiration from which we derive expressive and aesthetic values and formative treatments, which contribute to the development of visual vision. In this study, we drew inspiration from plant elements rich in expressive and formative values, producing three-dimensional sculptural works with new expressive ideas.
Philosophical Concept of the Exhibition:
The exhibition concept is based on utilizing plant forms in nature as visual stimuli that can be utilized in the creation of three-dimensional sculptural works.
Art Concept of the Exhibition:
Under the title "Color from Nature," the exhibition concept revolves around drawing inspiration from plant forms in nature and their distinctive colors and textures in the creation of three-dimensional sculptural works.
Porcelain powder was chosen for the sculpture due to its smooth texture and precise application, which adds aesthetic and expressive value to the sculptural work. It also offers durability after drying and ease of coloring, both before and after drying.
