The study aims to test the validity of the hypothesis that was mentioned for the purpose of measuring the contribution of the basic aspects of the knowledge economy to economic growth in Egypt, by identifying the concept of the knowledge economy from different aspects, identifying the basic aspects of the knowledge economy and its indicators, and analyzing the relative situation of the knowledge economy in Egypt, and measuring the impact of The knowledge economy on economic growth in Egypt, and in order to achieve these goals, the descriptive analytical method was relied on to explain the relationship between the variables under study. Then on economic growth in Egypt using a set of indicators, each of which expresses an aspect of the knowledge economy, and the measurement was made in two steps, the first model for estimating total productivity as Solow Residuals and takes the form of the Cobb-Douglas production function. The second step was to estimate the impact of the aspects of the knowledge economy on the growth rate in total productivity, and the model was estimated using the method of small squares Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) using time series data in the Egyptian economy for the period (2000 - 2020) to provide the largest amount of data on the study variables. The study concluded that the economic problem today is based on the abundance of information and not the traditional scarce resources, and knowledge has become the basis For any economic or social growth, through this the world has shifted from searching for scarce resources to searching and in order to control the largest possible amount of knowledge sources. Developing a national plan to support investment in the knowledge economy in its various aspects is necessary and important, especially at the present time to improve the relative situation To Egypt and reduce the digital and knowledge gap between Egypt and other countries.
