The goal of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of a proposed strategy based on Gardner’s Five Minds Theory to develop some divergent thinking skills and academic perseverance in geography among middle school students, To achieve this goal, a divergent thinking test and an academic perseverance scale were prepared, and used the method Descriptive analytical and experimental method with quasi-experimental design, The study sample consisted of 60 male and female students from the first year of middle school who were divided into two experimental and control groups, The research also found that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the averages of the scores of students in the experimental and control groups for the divergent thinking test as a whole and for its sub-skills in favor of the experimental group. There are also statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the averages. The scores of the students of the experimental groups in the pre- and post-applications of the divergent test as a whole and its sub-skills are in favor of the post-application, There are also statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of students in the experimental and control groups for the academic perseverance scale as a whole and its sub-dimensions in favor of the experimental group, and there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students. In the pre- and post-applications of the academic perseverance scale as a whole and its sub-dimensions, the results were in favor of the post-application, There is also a statistically significant correlation at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group in the post-application of both the divergent thinking test and the academic perseverance scale. The research recommended the necessity of including the proposed strategy based on Gardner’s Five Minds Theory in teaching geography, and paying attention to developing to develop some divergent thinking skills and academic perseverance among middle school students
