experimental design using an experimental group model, and a control group, and the number of students of the research group reached 10 students at the (Nasiriyah) school, and the functional reading skills test, and the voice awareness scale before / after were applied to the students of the research group. Results:The effectiveness of the program using preferred learning styles and an effective course In the development of phonemic awareness of the Arabic language and functional reading skills of the Arabic language among primary school students with learning difficulties, and the existence of a direct correlation between each of the preferred learning styles and the development of phonetic awareness skills and functional reading. Discussion:The researcher recommended the need to diversify individual and group activities in teaching Arabic in all its aspects for students with learning difficulties using the preferred supported learning patterns to take into account the individual differences between them and the permanent learning difficulties they face, and enrich the Arabic language books for primary school students with activities that develop the skills of phonetic awareness and functional reading.
