The study aimed to prepare a program based on strategic teaching to develop language proficiency and critical thinking skills among students teachers, and to measure its effectiveness in developing language proficiency and thinking skills for them. The experimental method based on the quasi-experimental design with one group was used, where the study group consisted of (60) students. In order to measure the impact of the program on developing language proficiency and thinking skills for the students of the study group, a language proficiency test and a critical thinking test were prepared, and after they were applied to students before and after, It was found that there was a statistically significant difference between the averages of degrees for these students in the pre and post measurements of the language proficiency test as a whole and its skills separately in favor of the post measurement, and the study concluded by presenting a number of recommendations and proposed research.
