The study aimed at preparing a proposed teaching model in the light of a theory towards text in developing the skills of literary analysis and rhetorical taste among secondary school students, and measuring its efficiency in developing their literary analysis skills and rhetorical taste. The experimental method based on the quasi-experimental design with one group was used, where the study group consisted of (63) students. In order to test the impact of the program in developing the skills of literary analysis and rhetorical taste among the students of the study group, a test of literary analysis skills and the rhetorical taste scale were prepared, and after applying them to students before and After, it was found that there is a statistically significant difference between the mean of these students in the pre and post measurements to test the skills of literary analysis as a whole and its skills separately in favor of dimensional measurement, the results also indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the averages of these students in the pre and post measurements of the rhetorical taste scale as a whole and its expressions separately in favor of the post measurement. The study concluded by presenting a number of recommendations and proposed research.
