The research aimed to study the development of the most important productive and economic indicators of Egyptian onions during the period (1990-2022), study its competitive position, calculate the extent of the stability of its exports, know the most important factors and variables affecting them, and know the competitive markets and the most important imported markets. The research relied on secondary data published by regional and international bodies concerned with statistics Agricultural sector. A simple correlation matrix was estimated between the total value of exports of Egyptian onions to imported markets on the one hand and all variables affecting that value on the other hand to show the direction and strength of the relationship between those variables. Simple regression equations were estimated to measure the effect of each variable on the value of exports of Egyptian onions for each market. The simultaneous equations model was also built by estimating multiple regression relationships using the Shazam statistical program. One of the most important results of the research is the presence of an increase in productivity and economic indicators during the study period, and an increase in both the relative importance of onion exports from agricultural exports and an increase in the amount of onion exports from the amount of local onion production. It was found that the period (2012-2022) is the most stable period for both. The value, quantity and price of onion exports. Egypt ranked sixth in onion exports worldwide with a value of $179,425 million, representing 4% during the average period (2018-2022), the most important countries importing Egyptian onions are Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Russia, respectively. It was found that there are positive, statistically significant relationships between the variable quantity of Egypt’s onion production, the quantity of Egyptian onion exports, the export price of onions, the exchange rate of the Egyptian pound, the per capita GDP, and the value of Egyptian onion exports to the most important markets
