with Summer season (very high temperatures) and the risks associated with the direct sun exposure , Im want to share the results of my recently published research letter entitled Sun protection behaviors and knowledge among Riyadh residents: a snapshot that included 760 Riyadh residents that concluded that 🩸 Sunscreen use is prevalent but complex in SA, with many determinants (use of sunscreen cream, use of UV glasses, outdoor activities and knowledge of UV harm) 🩸 These determinants are required to be addressed in detail. 🩸 Future research should explore the long-term impact 🩸 📢 In line with the initiatives to encourage sun exposure for Vitamin D and encourage daily walking initiatives, ongoing public health initiatives to promote effective sun protection practices in the whole KSA especially Riyadh, address both knowledge and behavioral aspects. 🩸 📢 Targeted education programs should focus on standardizing sunscreen usage, reinforcing the benefits of consistent protective measures, and addressing misconceptions about sun exposure. Such programs should Also consider cultural factors and gender differences to maximize the effectiveness of different approaches.
