The paper discusses the unprecedented negative economic and social impacts as well as Asian efforts to cope with the repercussions of the CORONA virus starting in 2020, which at the end of which more than 80 million people were infected, of which 17% were asian countries . While economic stimulus packages of nearly $26 trillion and the distribution of nearly 1 billion doses of CORONAvirus vaccines have contributed to faster-than-expected economic recovery, the serious repercussions of the crisis on education, the write-off of hundreds of millions of jobs, the arrival of public debt rates to levels that have occurred only in times of war, and the growing income gap between different races and between women and men, between generations and between geographical regions, generate multiple crises in the face of the world economy As the epidemic progressed, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) conducted assessments of the impacts on the global economy as well as on the overall economies of Asian countries. Overall, five economic impact assessments were conducted in 2020 - based on the latest analysis, global losses were estimated at 5.5%-8.7% of global GDP in 2020 and 3.6% -6.3% of GDP Global in 2021, with corresponding losses in developing Asia amounting to 6.0% - 9.5% of regional GDP and 3.6% 6.3% of regional GDP in 2020 and 2021, respectively. By January 11, 2021, ADB members had announced policy packages of up to $27.1 trillion, The largest was $8.1 trillion from the United States, with the amount announced by developing Asian economies amounting to $3.6 trillion, representing 15.2% of regional GDP, with more than half of the total support package directed to provide direct income support to mitigate the negative effects of the COVID-19 epidemic on families and businesses.
