ABSTRACTTheaimofthisworkistomeasuretheinfluenceofcoppernanoparticles(CuNPs)ongrowthperformance,carcasstraits,renalandhepaticindices,immunity,lipidprofile,antioxidantstatus,bloodminer-als,digestiveenzymes,andcecalmicrobiotainbroilers.300unsexedone-week-oldArborAcrebroilerchicksintotalwererandomlyassignedinto5treatmentgroupsof60chickspereachwhichweredividedinto5replicatesof12chicks.The1stgroup(G1)wasgivenbasaldiet(only);the2ndgroup(G2),the3rdgroup(G3),the4thgroup(G4)andthe5thgroup(G5)weregivenbasaldiettreatedwithCuNPsatarateof5,10,15,and20mg/kgdiet,respectively.Theresultrevealedasignificantimprove-ment(P<0.01)inperformanceparamterswherethebestvaluesofbodyweight,weightgain,andfeedconversionratiowereachievedat15mg/kgdiet(CuNPs).Moreover,CuNPssupplementationsignificantly(P<0.05)improvedcarcasstraitsspeciallycarcass,dressing,giblets,andliverpercentage,particularlyat15mg/kgdietwhichrevealedthebestresults.Furthermore,CuNPssupple-mentationatalltestedlevelsincreasedtheimmuneorgan’sweight(spleenandthymus).PlasmatotalproteinandglobulinwereincreasedwithCuNPssupplementationatlevels10to20mg/kgdiet.CuNPssupplementation(10−20mg/kgdiet)significantlyimprovedliverandrenalfunctionbyloweringthelevelsofAST,creatinineanduricacid.Moreover,CuNPssupplementationsignificantly(P<0.05)improvedlipidprofileindicatedbydecreasedthelevelsofcholesterol,triglyceride,low-densitylipopro-teincholesterol,verylow-densitylipoproteincholesterolaswellasmalondialdehyde(MDA).CuNPsupplementa-tionsignificantlyimprovedbroilerimmunityindicatedbyincreasedIgA,IgM,complement(C3)andlysozyme,whereCuNPsat15and20mg/kgdietrevealedthebestresults.CuNPssupplementationincreasedreducedgluta-thione(GSH),totalantioxidantcapacity(TAC),andsuperoxidedismutase(SOD)aswellasincreasedbloodminerals(Cu,Fe,P,andCa).Also,thedigestiveenzymesofbroilerchickstreatedwithCuNPssignificantlyincreased(P<0.05),suchaslipase,protease,andamylaseenzymes.Thefindingsrevealedasignificantelevationintotalbacterialcount(TBC)andlacticacidbacteriaandsignificantlydecreasedtotalyeastandmoldcount(TYMC),E.coli,SalmonellaandColiform.Inconclu-sion,CuNPssupplementationsignificantlyimprovesper-formance,carcassyield,renalandhepaticindices,lipidprofile,immunity,antioxidants,bloodminerals,digestiveenzymes,andcecalmicrobiotaofbroilerchicks.
