Abstract:
Haemonchus contortus (H. contortus) is a gastrointestinal nematode (GIN) common in small ruminants and is a significant cause of economic loss in livestock enterprises. Progressive anthelmintic resistance of H. contortus is the most limiting factor in effective control. The utilization of these natural materials for treating H. contortus is gaining popularity. This review aims to shed light on the prevalence of H. contortus in goats and possible control strategies to overcome such problems by using Allium sativum (garlic).
