Abstract:
The research aims at developing the skills of inter- disciplinary thinking skills and correct some epistemological beliefs about learning among student teachers in the Physics and Geography divisions, To achieve this purpose A program has been proposed in teaching skills based on the mARC model of experiential learning, which is an acronym for (more Authentic, Reflective and Collaborative). Two lists were judged by specialists, and they were relied upon in determining the objectives of teaching the proposed program in teaching skills. The research settled on identifying four inter-thinking skills, which are (Inter-inquiry skill, inter-communication skill, inter-linking skill, inter-comprehension skill), And identifying five dimensions of epistemological beliefs about learning, which are (the source of knowledge, the structure and modification of knowledge, the speed of learning, the control of learning, and the unity of knowledge), The research tools represented in interdisciplinary thinking skills measurement and the epistemological beliefs measurement for (prepared by the two researchers) . The sample of the research consisted of 40 male and female students from the physics and geography divisions of the second year, Faculty of Education, Zagazig University. The current research based on the experimental design with single experimental group. The results refer to a statistically significant difference at significance level (0.01) between the average scores of the students of experimental group in the pre and post application for both of the interdisciplinary thinking skills measurement and the epistemological beliefs measurement in favor of the post application. The results also led to a positive correlation between the interdisciplinary thinking skills and the the epistemological beliefs. The research presented its recommendations for the necessity of paying attention to university education based on interdisciplinary thinking, as it aims to develop and develop the capabilities of student teachers with different specializations.
