Abstract:
The area of bacterial self-healing in sustainable concrete production has received noteworthy attention in recent years. This field focuses on utilizing bacteria’s natural healing properties to improve concrete structures and fix cracks caused by changes in physical properties and loading conditions, aiming to create more sustainable construction methods. This study aimed to evaluate different strains of bacteria for their effectiveness in facilitating self-healing in concrete. The research investigated Bacillus Sphaericus (BS) and Bacillus Megaterium (BM) at various concentrations (0%, 0.25%, 1%, 2.5%, and 5% of cement content) to understand their impact on self-healing concrete properties.
