The research aimed to identify the level of social capital and its dimensions at Rural areas in Sharkia Governorate, build a measure of social capital for rural people According to the Egyptian conditions, testing the significance of the differences of rural respondents in the social capital according to gender, determining relative contribution of the independent variables in explaining total variation in Social capital at Rural areas in Sharkia Governorate. The research was using social survey method on a sample of 359 researches in three villages: Al-Sawaleh, Al-Saadiya and Kafr Hammad in Sharkia Governorate. The data were collected for a personal interview questionnaire from February to March 2023. The data were analyzed by frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, "T" test, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, Pearson's correlation coefficient, factor analysis. The results found: The scale was built from 12 indicators of social capital, the Cronbach's alpha for this scale reached 0.964, and the value of self-validity was 0.982, which are high values to the stability and validity of the scale, and all dimensions used in constructing the scale have positive internal consistency coefficients. The results of factorial analysis also showed that there are four dimensions contributed to explaining 76.84% of the total variance in the social capital. These dimensions are: the social awareness and participation for about 25.83% (consisting four indicators), Specific standards for community communication for about 19.38% (consisting three indicators), improving community services for about 17.30% (consisting two indicators), safe dealing with the rural environment for about 14.33% (consisting three indicators).
