Abstract:
The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of a suggested program in aesthetics to develop some philosophical thinking skills of secondary stage students. The research sample consisted of (64) male and female student from the third-year secondary school student in the West Zagazig Education Administration, Sharkia Governorate. They were divided into two groups, one experimental group (studying the suggested program in aesthetics) consisting of (32) male and female students, and the other control group (studying using the usual methods) consisting of (32) male and female students. The experimental treatment materials included a suggested program in aesthetics, which was prepared in light of some appropriate teaching methods so as to be administered to the experimental group students. It also included the study instrument (a philosophical thinking skills test) which was pre- and post- administered to both groups. The results of the current research concluded that the proposed program in aesthetics was effective in developing some philosophical thinking skills of secondary school students.
