This research aims to study military music and its scope of use in Morocco during the Almoravids and Almohads Eras, who contributed an effective role in adapting and harnessing music to serve their military and civil purposes; to be aware of the extent of the impact and development occurred through sounds of music on the success of several military methods, plans and procedures until realizing its objectives; therefore, it plays a core role in accomplishing military and psychological discipline within the soldiers' conscience, and energizes their determination, it also mobilizes the soldiers whether psychologically or morally; to arouse courage and enthusiasm in them, and thus causes them to sway for joy at what they hear, as well as being used as an instrument for issuing and delivering military instructions and orders during the course of battles; by exploiting it as a code for war declaration, or by using it to declare the emergence of ambushes during siege battlefields, in addition to the ceremonial role played by these military musical instruments during military parades, or in travel announcements, whether it is for leaving home country, or coming and arriving, or to be employed for conducting the declaration of the accession of a new Prince or Caliph or to some members of the ruling family, as well as in the various official reception ceremonies for the country’s official guests, whether those coming from near or far destinations, to the extent that the formation of such military musical bands has become an essential part of the components of the Moroccan Armies
