This research deals with the development of the environmental awareness for the students of the Faculty of Education at Zagazig University in the light of achieving sustainable development and The aim of this research is to know the role of the faculty of Education in developing the environmental awareness for its students and how to achieve it through its educational system . In addition, The researcher questions a sample of (150) male and female students from the faculty of education at the third year and (83) male and female students from the faculty of education at the first year , in order to collect scientific material and data to know the actual reality in the Faculty of Education in Zagazig University and to do statistics for this purpose to achieve field results, theoretically and practically, To activate the role of the College of Education to develop the environmental awareness of its students to achieve sustainable development . It is important to activate the role of student's activities and unions , and it is important to exploit competitions, trips , summer camps and Scout teams in this part. The role of Teaching Staff in developing environmental awareness is important for their students during and after lectures . It is also important to increase the number of courses in the Faculty of Education that concerns with developing the environmental awareness and to achieve a sustainable development for their students. It is necessary to establish specialized centers for environmental awareness and sustainable development in every university . It is also important to save all possibilities, tools , incentives from the part of university leaders . It is also important to increase training courses and workshops for the faculty teaching staff and environmental awareness and also their student's awareness to achieve the sustainable development in the Egyptian society .
