the aim of the research is to clarify the concept, objectives and characteristics of sustainable development, to analyze the dimensions of sustainable development in Egypt, and to know the extent to which there has been an improvement in the dimensions of sustainable development in Egypt. To devise a set of lessons learned, the descriptive and historical approach was relied upon when dealing with the theoretical dimension of the research. The validity of the research hypothesis shows the improvement of most indicators of the economic, social and technical dimension of sustainable development in Egypt, and its lack of improvement in most of the indicators of the environmental dimension. The rapid technological changes to accommodate the continuous developments in information and communication technology and the rest of human knowledge, and try to practice it in the field, and work to narrow the digital gap by spreading the Internet and increasing the number of its users at all levels, by making information technology tools available, and the need to increase attention to the environmental dimension of sustainable development.
