This research aims to demonstrate a contemporary practical model for achieving peaceful coexistence between religious pluralism and promoting a culture of religious tolerance in the new republic. Explaining the importance of supporting the new republic to develop research and studies of religions. This research included an introduction and three sections as follows:
Introduction: It includes: the research objective, its questions, its methodology, previous studies, and its plan.
The first topic: introducing the new republic. Its interests and manifestations of religious pluralism.
The second topic: Principles of peaceful coexistence of religious pluralism in the constitution of the new republic.
The third topic: The importance of supporting the new republic to develop research and studies of religions.
The research concluded with the following results and recommendations:
• The new republic was characterized by concrete manifestations of religious pluralism, represented by the Great Mosque of Egypt and the largest church in the Middle East.
• The Constitution of the New Republic included the most important principles necessary to achieve peaceful coexistence of religious pluralism, which were: citizenship and social solidarity, respect for laws, customs and traditions, freedom of belief, consultation, freedom of opposition and expression of opinion, equality in civil rights, and freedom of safe movement.
It turns out that these principles have a legal basis from the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, and are consistent with what was approved by Article Two of the Constitution, which stipulates that Islamic Sharia is the main source of legislation.
• Studying religions and comparing them has an important role in achieving understanding, rapprochement, and cultural communication between peoples.
Second: Recommendations
• Supporting the establishment of an international center for religious research and studies in the administrative capital of the new republic.
