Comparative Study between Franco's and Labat-Winnie's Techniques to Block Sciatic Nerve for Orthopedic Surgery in Obese Patients

The aim of this work is making a comparison between posterior proximal sciatic nerve block through each of Franco's midgluteal approach (which depends on one non-bony landmark) and the classic Labat-Winnie's approach (which depends on 3 bony landmarks) for single-injection SNB to provide anesthesia for below knee orthopedic surgery in obese patients to find out the approach with the best outcome and least complications. In the two approaches the electric nerve-stimulation method was used for sciatic nerve localization.
