Abstract:
Play is an innate behavior and a distinctive feature of the child and constructive play situations are practical sensory experiences through which the child can get close to others, it is the best means of an achieving comprehensive and integrated growth for children with cerebral palsy due to their limited movements. The current study aims to Improving the social skill of children with cerebral palsy through a training program based on constructive play and to verifying the continuity of the effectiveness of the training program after the follow- up period. The study was based on the experimental method, The sample consisted of (6) children with cerebral palsy, The ages ranged from (9-11) years, with a mean age (10, 90) and a standard deviation (0,884), They were divided into (3) children with cerebral palsy in the experimental group and the same for the control group. The study used tools such as: The Stanford- Binet scale of Intelligence (fifth image), The Social skills Scale (prepared by: the researcher), and The Training Program (prepared by: the researcher). The results indicated that the program based on constructive play had appositive effect on improving children with C.P. social skills (Interact with others skills – Social communication skill – Cooperation and social Participation skill – Emotional Participation skill), and the continuity of its effectiveness the follow- up period.
