Abstract:
The current study aimed to improve the reading comprehension of children with developmental language disorder at the elementary level by using an educational program to develop the semantic level of language, to reveal the extent to which the program impact remained at a standstill, to achieve this goal the researcher used the experimental curriculum, and the sample of the study consisted of (10) boy and girl of primary school age (8-9) Year and smarter transactions between (90-110), They were divided into two groups, experimental (5) and control (5), boy and girl, and the researcher applied the Receptive Expressive Arabic Language Scale (REAL SCALE) (Prepared by/Dalia Osman, 2014), Reading comprehension Test (Prepared by/ Ihab El- Beblawi and Ghada Ramadan, 2023), and Language Semantic Level Scale (Prepared by/ Ihab El- Beblawi and Ghada Ramadan, 2023), and the educational program to develop the semantic level of language (Prepared by/ Ihab El- Beblawi and Ghada Ramadan, 2023), the results of the study resulted in statistically significant differences between the mid-grades of the two experimental groups and the control in the dimensional measurement of the reading comprehension test in favour of the experimental group and statistically significant differences between the averages of the experimental group scores in tribal and post measurements to test the reading comprehension in favour of dimensional measurement, There are no statistically significant differences between the averages of the experimental group scores in the dimensional and tracking measurements of the reading comprehension test, The study recommends the need for early intervention with children to develop the semantic level of language because of its impact on improving reading comprehension.
