Emotional intelligence includes a set of skills that work on understanding the emotional expressions of others, which helps to develop the ability to communicate and develop language. Children with developmental language disorder have weaknesses in language skills. Therefore, the current study aimed to improve language skills of children with developmental language disorder, through a training program based on emotional intelligence, and then testing the effectiveness of this program in achieving its goal. The study sample consisted of (20) children with developmental delays, whose ages ranged between (6-9) years, with an average age of (7,50) years, and astandard deviation (1.31), and their IQ ranged between (100-110). The study used tools in terms of the Stanford Bennett Scale for Intelligence, the fifth image (Mahmoud Abu El-Nil Standardization, 2011), the economic and social level scale (prepared by: Muhammad Saafan, Doaa Khattab, 2016), the developmental language disorder diagnosis scale in children (prepared by Abd: Al-Aziz Al-Shakhek, Zainab Kamal, Muhammad Hosseini, 2018), the Neurological Scan Test: Localization and Codification/ Abdel-Wahhab Kamel, (2000). the measure of emotional intelligence (prepared by /Suleiman Muhammad, Hassan Muslim, Shahanda Aref). the measure of language skills (prepared by /Suleiman Muhammad, Hassan Muslim, Shahanda Aref). And the program based on emotional intelligence (prepared by /Suleiman Muhammad, Hassan Muslim, Shahanda Aref). The results indicated that the program based on emotional intelligence had improving children with developmental language disorder in language skills in (listening skills- speaking skills- reading skills- writing skills), the use of emotional intelligence strategies is important in developing language skills.
