Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of a program for developing reading comprehension in solving verbal mathematical problems among students with developmental language disorder, and knowing the continuity of the program in developing reading comprehension and the continuity of the impact of this development on increasing students' ability to solve verbal mathematical problems among children of the experimental group, and a sample was formed. The study consisted of (20) male and female students who have a developmental language disorder, and their ages ranged between (11-12) years. The researcher used the language development scale, prepared by / Nahla Abdulaziz Al-Rifai (2011), and the Stanford-Binet scale, fifth picture, quote and preparation / Muhammad Taha, Abdel-Mawgoud Abdel-Samie (2011), and the rapid neurological survey scale for identifying people with learning disabilities (prepared and codified by: Abdel-Wahhab Mohamed Kamel(2007),) The reading comprehension scale for verbal mathematical problems for students with a developmental language disorder, the achievement or diagnostic test to assess the difficulties of solving verbal mathematical problems for children with a developmental language disorder, and the training program for the development of reading comprehension (prepared by: the researcher)(, The results of the study revealed the effectiveness of the training program, as it had a positive effect on improving the performance of the experimental group students who were exposed to the program in reading comprehension, which had an impact on increasing the ability to solve verbal mathematical problems, The effectiveness of the program continued two months after its implementation.
