Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Aim: The study aimed to evaluate the effect of intervention program for nurses regarding preeclampsia among pregnant women. Subjects & methods: A quasi-experimental study design was conducted at high_ risk unit, obstetric department, Zagazig University Hospital on a convenient sample of 80 nurses. Two tools were used for data collection (1) A structured interview questionnaire, included personal characteristics of the studied nurses, and nurse's knowledge about preeclampsia (2)An observation checklist for evaluating nursing management regarding preeclampsia among pregnant women. Both tools of the evaluation were used to assess nurses' level of knowledge and practice before and after three months of implementing the study. Results: The study has revealed that a statistically significant improvement in nurses' knowledge and practice related to nursing care of preeclamptic patients were noticed at the post and follow-up program phases. Conclusion: The educational program was effective in improving the knowledge and practice of nurses. Recommendations: The study recommended frequent and schedule In-services training program should be applied for nurses at the hospital.
