Ultrasound-Guided Erector Spinae Plane Block versus Caudal Block for Postoperative Analgesia in Children Undergoing Inguinal Hernia Repair

The study demonstrated that both ultrasound guided ESPB and ultrasound guided caudal block have comparable results in terms of Total amount of intraoperative fentanyl, Pain intensity by using FLACC pain scale intraoperatively and in the first 12 hours postoperatively in all patient groups, Time to first rescue analgesic requirement, Total amount of rescue analgesic consumption of the groups and the number of patients who needed postoperative rescue analgesics.
