The current study aims to benefit from the importance of strategic alliances at Monash Universities in Australia, and East China Normal University in China in achieving sustainable competitive advantage an the possibility of benefiting from it in Egypt. In order to achieve this goal, the study used the comparative approach, and the study followed this approach in a set of steps. It begins with the general framework of the study, then clarifies the theoretical intellectual framework of strategic alliances in contemporary educational literature, then the study deals with the most prominent features of strategic alliances at Monash Universities in Australia, and East China Normal University in China in supporting sustainable competitive advantage, followed by the step of comparative analysis between them and clarifying similarities and differences. Interpreting this according to the forces and cultural factors, then analyzing the reality of Egyptian universities and the most prominent efforts in building strategic alliances in them to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage in light of the forces and influencing factors. In the light of benefiting from the theoretical framework of the study, as well as the comparative study of Monash Universities in Australia and East China Normal University in China, taking into account the societal cultural context of Egypt.
