Abstract:
This manuscript introduces water cycle algorithm (WCA) technique to get the best position and size of distributed generation (DG) with different types along distribution systems of radial structure without violating the constraints. Single and dual objectives are utilized in this study. The dual objectives function (DOF) is adopted to reduce real power losses and simultaneously boost static voltage stability. In order to reduce the search space, sensitivity analysis is used to give the initial appropriate buses for DG positioning. The proposed methodology with DOF produce a number of Pareto-front solutions that are not dominated. The best solution is selected using fuzzy decision maker. the proposed methodology is tested on the standard 33-node network with different scenarios. The obtained results are compared to previous works in the literatures verifying and validating the proposed algorithm.
