Abstract:
In this work, various analytical techniques were used in the analysis of some pharmaceutical drugs used for treatment of metabolic disorders . - A green and sensitive HPLC method was developed for the determination of N-nitrosodiethylamine in Losartan and Valsartan using mobile phase of 0.02 M ammonium acetate adjusted to pH 7.2 and ethanol in gradient manner. Limits of detection and limits of quantification for NDEA were estimated to be 0.2 and 0.5 μg/ml, respectively. - Development and validation of green and eco-friendly HPLC method for the determination of atorvastatin calcium and vitamin D3. The two drugs were separated in less than 10 min on Symmetry column C18 (100 × 4.6 mm, 3.5 μm) using a mixture consisting of 0.1% ortho-phosphoric acid (OPA) (pH = 2.16) and ethanol as the mobile phase in gradient manner. - Five anti-diabetic drugs belonging to different antidiabetic classes; namely metformin (MTF), glibenclamide (GBC), gliclazide (GCZ), linagliptin (LNT) and dapagliflozin (DPF), have been analyzed using mobile phase of 0.12 M SDS, 0.008 M Brij-35 and 0.15 M triethylamine in water, adjusted to pH 4.5. The flow rate was set at 1.5 mL/ min on RP-monolithic column (100 × 4.6 mm). - Spectrophotometric determination of Linagliptin with metformin HCL in presence of cyanoguanidine impurity using different techniques to avoid time wasting and exaggerated data processing giving acceptable linearity ranges of 2–16 , 2–12 and 1-7 μg/ mL for MTF,LNT and CYG respectively.
