Abstract:
the present work was designed to investigate the potential of using sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.), for the phytoremediation of thiamethoxam -contaminated soil. Also, to evaluate the potential of using plantain (Plantago major L.) for the phytoremediation of flonicamid and thiamethoxam contaminated water and azoxystrubin in field. The use of Nano zero-valent iron prepared from Marjoram (Mar-nZVI) and nano zero-valent iron prepared from Moringa (Mor-nZVI), with and without H. annuus for the removal of thiamethoxam pesticide from soil has been investigated, and The preparation of activated charcoal (Ach),bentonite (Bent), nano zero-valent iron prepared from Marjoram (Mar-nZVI), nano zero-valent iron prepared from Moringa (Mor-nZVI), Mar-nZVI .Ach, Mar-nZVI . Bent, Mor-nZVI. Ach and Mor-nZVI. Bent with and without P. major for the removal of flonicamid and thiamethoxam pesticides from aqueous solution has been investigated. The use of Environmentally Friendly Microorganisms (EM1) has been studied for the removal of azoxystrubin in field with and without P. major. characterization of nano zero-valent iron (nZVI) has been investigated by (1) UV spectrophotometer. (2)High-resolution transmission electron microscopy. (3)The Scanning Electron Microscopic (SEM). The results showed that the Mar-nZVI played the most important role in the removal of thiamethoxam in the soil, compared with natural degradation in soil without nZVI. In addition, the results showed that, Mar-nZVI .Ach, Mar-nZVI .Bent and Ach have faster flonicamid removal at all treatment periods. Field studies showed that Pmajor next to tomatoe crops inoculated with EM1reduced azoxystrubin concentration from 10.44µg/g to 0.00 µg/g, recording 47.82% to 100.00% removal throug 2hours to 10-day exposure. These results demonstrate that, the application of microorganism, adsorbent material, and adsorbents–supported nZVI as green nanotechnology with Plantago major L. and Helianthus annuus L. caused agreat removal of flonicamid, thiamethoxam and azoxystrobin residues in water and soil.
