Abstract:
Summary Introduction : Egypt and the world have recently witnessed a period of rapid and increasing changes in various political, economic, environmental, social and technological fields, within the framework of the constant pursuit towards achieving sustainable development and credit goals. However, we found that the owner of development processes in uncalculated matters led to the deterioration of the environment, the increase of pollutants and the depletion of resources. This led to the emergence of many crises, including those related to food, water and fuel, in addition to financial crises. The situation seemed to be more complicated by the phenomenon of climate change and the increase in global warming, which made these problems a tangible reality that cannot be denied. As a result of the growing environmental problems and their impact on the rights of generations to benefit from the environment and natural resources, countries began to reconsider their traditional economic systems that deplete natural resources and turn to environmentally friendly investments that call for the preservation of natural resources and the rights of generations to benefit from them and reduce the manifestation of the unsustainable ecosystem and in As a way to pay attention to achieving a balance between the environment and sustainable development, the concept of the green economy began to emerge as an environmentally friendly activity that works to reduce environmental degradation and energy depletion, achieve the well-being of citizens, and achieve social justice, which contributes significantly to reducing environmental risks, and most importantly, it is more than just an appreciation of sectors It is a means to achieve sustainable development and not a substitute for it. It is also one of the rapidly growing economic development models that aims to address the interrelationship between human economies and the natural ecosystem. The study Problem : Based on the importance of the concept of the green economy, which emerged as a reaction to the effects of environmental degradation, global crises and problems that the world has gone through in recent years, which made the green economy a major requirement and an imperative; In order to achieve the dimensions of sustainable development, especially with regard to the environmental dimension and the correction of environmental imbalances, many final documents and international conferences encourage educational institutions to reconsider the accreditation of good practices in the field of sustainability management in their universities in order to conduct research and reach innovations for sustainable development by developing programs New and innovative programs to develop skills in order to move forward on the way to achieving the development goals by conducting research and reaching innovations for sustainable development by setting up new and innovative programs to develop skills in order to move forward on the way to achieving the national development goals and by including the importance of the concept of green economy and the positive results associated with achieving it, We find that many studies emphasize the importance of integrating it into the educational process and the formation of positive concepts and behaviors that support the achievement and reduction of environmental risks and limit them. Green education and the use of green technology in education, and since values and standards constitute the main pillar in building the value system of societies, through which mechanisms and areas of general behavior are formed in society, the problem of the study was launched, which centered on the main question: What is the role of university education in developing some values of the green economy among the students? Several sub-questions emerge from the main question, as follows: 1- What is the intellectual framework for the values of green economy culture? 2- University education and its developmental role in supporting the achievement of the green economy. 3- Field procedures to achieve some of the values of the green economy among students. 4- What are the field results related to achieving some values among students? 5- What is the proposed development of the role of university education in developing some values of the green economy among students? Objectives of the study : Conducting a theoretical description of the concept of green economy Monitoring some values that support the realization of the concept of green economy among university students. • Learn about university education and some of its developmental roles necessary to achieve the green economy. • Exposing the reality of the role of university education in developing the environmental, economic and social values of the green economy among students from their point of view. Identifying the impact of each of the college, specialization, gender and place of residence on students' differences of opinion about the university's role in developing some values among students. • Developing a proposed vision to increase the activation of the role of university education in developing some values of green communication among university students. Study Approach : The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, which is based on describing what is an object, analyzing and interpreting phenomena, due to its suitability to the nature of the case study in describing the analysis of the concept of green economy and its associated values, and using the questionnaire tool to analyze and identify the role of university education in developing some values among students. Steps to proceed with the study: Within the framework of the objectives and methodology of the study, the study proceeds according to the following steps: • The first step: defining the general framework of the current study. • The second step: includes an intellectual framework for some of the values of the green economy culture. • The third step: identifying some of the developmental roles of university education. • The fourth step: the methodological procedures for conducting the field study and its results. • The fifth step: It includes the most important results of the field study and a proposed vision for the role of university education in developing some of the values of the green economy. Results : The study reached many results, the most important of which are: 1- The study concluded that university professors have a role in developing some environmental, economic and social values among students, largely through some of the practices that they do and that they deal with students. 2- The results also confirm that student activities also have a role in instilling environmental, economic and social values among students through their involvement in many activities that achieve these values for them. 3- Also, the results related to the university administration confirmed that the administration has a role in achieving values and contributing to instilling them among university students, and it was found that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the averages of students' responses due to the faculty variable in developing values among students. 4- It also proved that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the averages of students' responses to the questionnaire statements due to the variable of specialization
