This study was conducted at the research farm that belongs to faculty of veterinary medicine, Zagazig University. Four experiments were designed to investigate the effect of some managerial factors on the behaviour and performance of duck. I- The first experiment: The effect of different housing systems and breeds on behaviour and performance of duck In this experiment, a total number of 144 ducklings represent three different genotype of duck, Pekin, Muscovy, and Moulard duck (cross between female Pekin and Muscovy male). 48 ducklings (3 weeks of age) from each genotype were used and divided randomly into two groups (1st group, deep litter and 2nd group, caged group). II- The second experiment The influence of different bedding materials on behaviour and performance of duck. Studying the effect of different litter material (wood shaving, plastic slatted, sand and no bedding material) on behaviour and performance of duck. III- The third experiment Behavioural and performance response of duck in relation to light colors. In this experiment 4 different light colors were used (control, red, yellow and blue) with constant light intensity (20 lux) were assigned, light was provided by incandescent bulbs.
