This research sheds light on the fact that man is a creature in which the manifestations of moderation are evident. He has good qualifications to be the ideal model of moderation in the universe. Man is the moderate creature between two species of creatures, the angels which are supreme creatures, and the animals which are the lower creature. Man has the best characteristics of the two species. He is created from the best elements in the universe. This indicates the fact that his nature is good and his origin is noble. His evil deeds are just accidental matterswhich are attributed to ignorance, fallacy, forgetfulness, or the surrounding environment.Allah Almighty granted man the ability of reasoning so that he can purify himself and take it away from lusts.By doing so, he can achieve balance and moderation between the characteristics of both angels and animals. This helps him to be an obedient and pious person.
Man must comply with some controls that govern his animal tendencies and spiritual aspirations so that he can achieve this balance.
The research illustrates the concept of moderation;describes the components of human creation, and how his material and spiritual components represent the moderate limit among all other creatures. The researchexplains also the requirements necessary for the life of each component, the controls governingthe human actions so that man can achieve balance between the two divergent poles (materialityand spirituality), and how he can live in a manner that is good in this world and the Hereafter. Besides, the research sheds light onthe way that man can follow to satisfy his animal instinctsand spiritual aspirationsto be the ideal embodiment of moderation in the universe. The research refers to the aspects of moderation, which are related to the creation, behavior, thinking, feeding, and all his needs. It also deals withmanifestations of deviation from moderation, the effect of that deviation on the man, and the means he may follow to preserve moderation.
