Abstract: |
This research aimed to: identify the effect of different training methods (weights, plyometrics, ballistic) on some morphological, physical and skill variables for field hockey players.
The researchers used the experimental method due to its suitability for the type and nature of this research through the experimental design using the pre and post measurements for one experimental group. Their number is (10) players, bringing the total sample to (38) players.
The extracted data were processed with appropriate statistical treatments, including (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, skewness coefficient, Pearson's correlation coefficient, T' test, improvement rates).
Among the most important results: the different training methods had a positive effect on the development of the morphological variables under study for the field hockey players, the diversity of the different training methods in the preparation periods is better than using a single training method in developing types of muscular strength, especially muscular ability, the rationed training methods, especially with weights, resist the occurrence of Repeated injuries that can happen to players in different periods of the season.
