The study aimed to investigate the role of secondary schools in developing students' awareness of traffic safety culture. The study followed a descriptive approach and was conducted in the Eastern Province. The sample consisted of 384 high school students, who were selected using Steven Thompson's equation. The questionnaires were collected by communicating with students electronically, and they were collected in May and June of 2022. Pearson correlation coefficient and simple linear regression were used for data analysis. The results indicated that three variables affected the overall degree of students' awareness of traffic safety culture, namely, performance evaluation and monitoring, integration between subjects and educational programs, and the overall degree of developing students' awareness of traffic safety culture. The impact was negative for performance evaluation and monitoring and integration between subjects and educational programs, while it was positive for the overall degree of developing students' awareness of traffic safety culture. The results also showed that two variables affected students' awareness of general traffic rules, namely, effective communication and community partnerships, and the overall degree of developing students' awareness of traffic safety culture. The impact was negative for effective communication and community partnerships, while it was positive for students' awareness of general traffic rules. Furthermore, the results revealed that three variables affected students' awareness of traffic risks and prevention, namely, performance evaluation and monitoring, integration between subjects and educational programs, and the overall degree of developing students' awareness of traffic safety culture. The impact was negative for performance evaluation and monitoring and integration between subjects and educational programs, while there was no impact for other variables such as training and practical education in traffic safety culture, motivating students and enhancing their social responsibility, effective communication, and community partnerships. The study recommended the development of practical education and training programs for students of different levels to enhance their awareness of traffic safety culture, traffic risks, and prevention measures. Additionally, it recommended organizing lessons to improve the integration between subjects and educational programs.
