Abstract:
Abstract The current research aims mainly to reveal the nature of the relationship between the awareness of workers in orphan institutions in managing change with its axes (administrative creativity - individual legality - building a mental image) and the self-efficacy of the orphan child with its axes (cognitive - emotional - social). The data were completed by applying (general data form, change management awareness questionnaire, self-efficacy questionnaire) on a deliberate sample of (78) workers, and (166) orphaned children in orphan institutions in Sharkia Governorate. By following the descriptive analytical approach, tabulating the data and using the appropriate statistical methods through the Spss21 program. The research reached the following results: The awareness of workers in orphan institutions about the axes of change management is average at a rate of 79.5%, and the axis of awareness of administrative creativity ranked first among the axes of the level of awareness of change management, and that the level of self-efficacy among orphaned children averaged at 72.9%, and the axis of social efficiency came in Introduction to the axes of self-efficacy among orphaned children. It was also found that there is a positive, statistically significant correlation at 0.05, 0.01, 0.001 between the level of awareness of workers in orphan institutions, the research sample, about managing change and its axes, and the level of self-efficacy among orphaned children with its axes. There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of workers in orphan institutions in the research sample in awareness of change management with its axes according to gender in favor of female workers, and for age in favor of workers in the age group (from 30 - <40 years), and for years of experience working in the institution in favor of workers with years of experience (10 years or more), and for the educational qualification in favor of workers with a high level of education (above university). The results of the study also showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of orphaned children in the research sample in self-efficacy in its axes depending on the type of the child in favor of female children, the reason for joining the institution in favor of hosting, the years of residence in the institution in favor of children who have passed a number of years (from 3 years and more), and the level of Academic achievement in favor of high achieving children. The results of the study also indicated that the axis of building the mental image was the most significant axis in explaining the discrepancy in self-efficacy among orphaned children, with a percentage of 32.6%. The research recommended the conclusion of an agreement between orphan care institutions and the specialization of home management and institutions in the faculties of home economics to work on good planning for the change process by developing a detailed long-term plan to implement that goal with high efficiency, which is directly reflected on the self-efficacy of orphaned children. The National Council for Childhood launched educational courses And guidance for orphans in care institutions to develop their awareness of the elements of change management and how to apply them in those institutions, which is reflected on orphaned children and develops their abilities and self-skills.
