Abstract: |
The research aimed: Identifying the effect of intensive interval training with two different methods on the development of some physiological indicators and performance variables for the 400m race / sprint.
The two researchers used: The experimental approach by following the experimental design of two experimental groups using the pre and post measurements for both groups due to their suitability to the nature of the study, The research sample included: (50) students (track and field competitions training division), and (10) of them were excluded from conducting the exploratory study. Thus, the basic research sample becomes (40) students for the basic experience, divided into two groups, each group (20) students.
Among the most important results: The intensive intermittent training program using the two training methods 10-20-30 seconds and 5-10-15 seconds had a positive effect, with statistical significance, on all physiological indicators under study (maximum oxygen consumption, critical speed, average speed for (180 seconds) (S180), Average speed for (150 seconds) (S150), the constant curve of speed for time, anaerobic power, lactic acid LA, pulse rate after exertion), on all performance variables under study (number of steps, step frequency, step length), segment times and level The digital race for the 400m sprint.
The two researchers recommended Paying attention to using the first training method when wanting to develop physiological indicators, endurance, speed endurance, and the digital level of the 400-meter race. Paying attention to exercises 5-10-15 when wanting to develop performance variables, maximum speed, and times for the 400-meter race segments.
